Added a little bit to most projects this week. That’s pretty cool. Still a long way from any of them being completed. I suppose I could sit down with one of them and work more intensively to get them closer to completion. But I have so much else on my plate that I would really rob from other areas (including those which pay me) to do so.
Despite the destination still being so far away, I’m still really digging the journey.
Steam Thieves
(Steampunk x Forged in the Dark, Ashcan here [link])
Just a bit of copying and pasting this week for the Position and Effect section:
…
She doesn’t fight the group, instead trying to maneuver her way past them and escape. She’s still under threat from many enemy attacks, so her position is worse, but if the ground is open and the group can’t easily corral her, then her effect for escaping isn’t reduced (Desperate / Standard). If she had some immediate means of escape (like rappelling down steam duct), then her effect might even be increased (Desperate / Great).
The group isn’t aware of her yet—she’s set up in a sniper position on a nearby roof. She takes a shot against one of them. Their greater numbers aren’t a factor, so her effect isn’t reduced, and she’s not immediately in any danger (Controlled / Great). Maybe instead she wants to fire off a salvo of suppressing fire against the whole group, in which case their scale applies (Controlled / Limited). If the group is on guard for potential trouble, her position is more dangerous (Risky / Great). If the group is alerted to a sniper, then the effect may be reduced further, as they scatter and take cover (Risky / Limited). If the group is able to muster covering fire while they fall back to a safe position, then things are even worse for our scoundrel (Desperate / Limited).

Copy and paste job related to character creation:

Character Creation
Name, Background & Traits
First, choose or roll your PC’s name and background from their respective tables on page 5. A PC’s background informs their potential knowledge and skills.
Next, roll for the rest of your character’s traits (appearance, speech, mannerisms, beliefs, reputation, etc.) on the Character Traits tables on page 6.
Finally, roll for their age (2d20+10).
Goodnight Maus
(Mausritter adventure site inspired by Goodnight Moon)
Had a crack at drawing the fireplace.
…
Still really conflicted on whether my own drawings are high enough quality to include in the final project (or whether I care about that). I’m going to complete the assignment, though, and make a completely hand drawn version. Once that’s done I’ll decide whether or not to run with it or chalk it up to a good attempt and look for an alternative.
