After a pretty brutal three weeks things are starting to get back to normal around here. I’ve only added a smidge to two projects this week, but I’m hopeful that there could be some good, meaty updates on the horizon.

Sand & Stars
(Desert survival x Cairn, Ashcan here [link])
Copied and pasted the wealth and treasure section. It’s tempting to invent my own vocabulary for the coinage, but I’ve already done a lot of this and I don’t want to overload the players. Gold, silver and copper is fine… I guess.

Wealth & Treasure
The most common coin is the gold piece (gp), which is equal to 10 silver pieces (sp) and 100 copper pieces (cp).
Treasure is highly valuable, usually bulky, and rarely useful beyond its value. It can be a lure, taking PCs to exotic and even dangerous locations, and is often under the protection of intimidating foes.
Villages, strongholds, and ports of call barter and trade based on the local rarity and value of an item or commodity.
Steam Thieves
(Steampunk x Forged in the Dark, Ashcan here [link])
Added the Armour section, using the true spelling. Also got to add another example, where I insert friends from my regular gaming group and try to guess a likely name for their character.

Armour
If you have a type of amour that applies to the situation, you can mark an armour box to reduce or avoid a consequence, instead of rolling to resist.
Goldrick is taking level 2 harm, “Cut to the Ribs,” and the fight isn’t even over yet, so Matt decides to use Goldrick’s armour to reduce the harm. He marks the armor box and the harm becomes level 1, “Bruised.” If Goldrick was wearing heavy armour, he could mark a second armour box and reduce the harm again, to zero.
When an armour box is marked, it can’t be used again until it’s restored. All of your armour is restored when you choose your load for the next score.
