I’m sneaking this newsletter under the wire, to adhere to the once a week rule that is entirely optional, but also something I enjoy sticking to. I’ve moved my table top projects forwards each week for 77 weeks straight and that’s pretty fucking cool. These things are moving at a snail’s pace, but that doesn’t matter. This mechanism is designed with direction in mind, not distance.
Even so, I’m creeping closer to my first completed game with Sand & Stars. I haven’t worked on that this week, since the weekend got away from me. I had to live blog a UFC event during the day all Saturday. On Sunday I had to wrap up sumo coverage on my other blog (which is doing really well, by the way, to the point it’s actually become a part time job and not just a hobby - that has its pros and cons, for sure).
And today was also my 11th wedding anniversary. Yay me! And it was the first one where my kid came up and said “happy anniversary daddy… happy anniversary mummy.” The world might be awful, but life can still provide moments of absolute bliss.
I don’t have any updates on projects to speak of here, so my form of progress this week will be purely ‘intention setting’.
Here’s my to-do-list to be done before the next newsletter:
Connect my Three Nine URL to this substack account.
Make a QR code for the S&S ashcan so I can easily share it with my in-person writers group.
Take a photograph to use as reference for my S&S front cover.
Start a Publisher project for S&S.
See you on the flip side!
